Shortly after 2:00 PM on the 14th of December firefighters were alerted to a vehicle fire at the New Hanover Township Building. Fire officers arrived on scene and reported a car showing heavy smoke from under the hood of the car. Crews made a quick knock down and the fire was contained. Despite the best efforts by all responding, the car ended up as a total loss.

Feb 29th 2010 - Around 9:50 pm New Hanover Fir Company(station 37) was dispatched to a dwelling at the 100 block of Bayberry Road to assist with Limerick Fire Company(station 54). The homeowner was able to get his car out of the garage, but a majority of the house and contents were either damaged or destroyed in the fire.  Shortly after the firefighters began to fight  the blaze there was an explosion which blew out the second floor wall. The fire was eventually knocked down and fire crews were able to return to their stations around midnight.
