Vehicle Accident   October 14, 2006

14 October 2006 - Early this morning New Hanover firefighters were dispatched to stand-by for a vehicle accident on N. Charlotte Street. The involved vehicle struck a pole. cracking it, and flipped onto its roof. The driver of the vehicle had fled the scene. Firefighters controlled fluids and disconnected the vehicles battery. The power company was also notified of the pole strike. After the vehicle was removed from the roadway all units returned to station.
