Vehicle Rescue   May 15, 2005

15 May 2005 - A single vehicle accident closed one of the township's side roads for about an hour and a half. The driver of the vehicle had apparently suffered a medical condition which caused him to loose control of the vehicle which then rolled onto its roof. The driver of the vehicle had unfortunately perished from his illness, however the passenger was still alive inside the vehicle. Firefighters worked to stabilize the vehicle, gain entry, and create a path to remove the patient. It took firefighters 12 minutes after arriving on scene to free the patient. Patient was transported by ambulance to a Med-Evac helicopter where she was transported to a trauma center.
